The team at Corinna provide a warm welcome and plenty of guidance towards a range of unique wilderness experiences difficult to find elsewhere in the world."

Fatman Barge

The “Fatman” barge allows vehicles to travel from north or south across the Pieman River. It is the only cable driven vehicular barge in Tasmania and runs daily, on demand. Click here if you have any questions about barge operations, or any other concerns about vehicle access.

Guest & Passenger Feedback

Sue W, Brisbane

We had a wonderful time at Corinna. It is so beautiful and so peaceful, we didn’t want to leave. The cottages are very comfortable, make sure to take everything you need in the way of fresh food if you are self-catering as there is nothing non-perishable at the General Store.

We did both cruises, the Arcadia and the Sweetwater and would recommend both as they were different experiences and both great. Also, do not pass up the chance to go for a kayak, a very peaceful way to get quite close and personal with the gorgeous scenery.

Recommend coming from Hobart as it is a much nicer trip than from Launceston even though it is longer. Also, if you come from Hobart you need to catch the Fatman barge across to Corinna so factor the opening times into your travel plans. Anyway, all up, definitely worth the trip!

“Highlights were amazing nature walks and wildlife experience in temperate rainforest, awesome boat trip and explore along the Pieman River. Cute room accommodation in historic cottage (more luxurious new style were available too) with good quality dinners and basic continental breakfast. Take a break from technology and breath the freshest air in Tassie! ”
